Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza GilaniRaza Gilani has issued President Asif Ali Zardari a recommendation to confer Nishan-e-Haider, the highest military award, upon the martyr Lieutenant Yasir Abbas who was killed in line of defending assets of Pakistan Navy in face of terrorists' attack on PNS Mehran on Sunday night, SAMAA reported on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the mother and the sister of martyr Yasir have also backed PM Gilani's recommendation.

They said that Yasir laid down his life in defence of the precious assets of Pakistan Navy while fighting with Taliban.

They said that Yasir prevented a greater loss to Pakistan Navy by sacrificing his life. They were of the view that Yasir deserve Nishan-e-Haider as he received bullets on chest to defend sovereignty of our dear homeland.

After approval, Lieutenant Yasir Abbas will be the first officer from Pakistan Navy to have been conferred Nisha-e-Haider

 

 

Before few moments of his shahadat he sad

 

As i wake up

i hear that

A mother lost her son

A father lost his blood

the navy lost a soldier

the country lost her brave one

i think to myself

what have i lost?

thinking deep within myself

i found the answer

i lost a hero,

i lost a warrior,

i lost an insprition,

i lost the name of my country,

last but not the least,

i lost a person,

who gave up his sleep so i could sleep with peace,

i lost a hero who was brave,

unafraid of what he might have to face,

when i think of it,

it is not only i who has lost the shining star,

it is our whole nation,

I salute to the family of LT YASIR,

And LT Yasir himself

for giving us the most precious gift he could possibly give us,

his life,

which means alot to us,

and which will be never forgotten,

you will always be remembered,

you will always be alive in our hearts
