"Graded Discussion Board" GDB will be open for 2 days on 29th June, 2011 to 30th June, 2011. You are required to prepare for the topic given below and submit your post on time when GDB would open on said date.
Below is the topic of "GDB"
Have an excellent Database application (Front End Application) reduce the need of efficiently designed Database?
Part A: – Yes / No [1 Mark]
Part B: – Justify your selection in three (3) to four (4) lines at max of GDB post. [4 marks]
Important Notes:
- Lines more than the limit defined, would cut marks 1 per extra line rather your answer is right.
- Part A is compulsory to answer. Without part A, part B would not be checked and marked as Zero.
- Properly label your answer parts as provided above. Means mention Part A: - and Part B: - before your answer to that part. 1 Mark would be deducted if not labeled your answer.
- No duplicate entries are allowed and if do so, 1 Mark would be deducted per extra submission.
- No GDB post is accepted after due date and / or by e-mail. No excuses are entertained at all.
- No extension / relaxation in GDB submission deadline is provided so be on time to secure your absolute 5 Marks.
excellent solution:
Part A: – No Part B: – Database design actually narrates physical and logical database structure while database application interacts with database for retrieval and inserting of data, neither of the two can go alone. The Front End Application controls communication between end-users, it have to be built preeminent to deliver robust and quality application because it will eventually use the database. So, the database itself needs to be efficiently designed if we have made excellent front-end application. Full benefit of excellent written front-end application cannot be obtained if it has to interact with badly structured database. On the other hand, having bad front-end with excellently structured database will also degrade the overall performance.
