please any body tell me what is meant by surrender of degree.

 

i have completed my MBA with 2.80 CGPA .i have more than 4 subjects with C grade.one of my friend told me that  i can take can extra semester for the improvement of these C grade subjects but for that purpose i must have to surrender my degree please guide me in this regard.
