SYSTEMS ENGINEER

In person interviews will be required.****

Responsibilities

The consulting resource (technologist) will support the architects within the IT Infrastructure & Operations group to translate IT strategies, consolidation, & reduction plans into technical blueprints & configuration documentation.  They will provide support for each projects project manager and will provide input for the development of MS project plans.  This resource will also provide design guidance and technical implementation oversight to ensure that the implementation reflects the design.  The resource will also provide implementation support of a technical nature across the following platforms:

1.       Citrix XenApp & XenDesktop

2.       VMWare EXX/ESXi, View, ThinApp, VMotion & VSphere

3.       IBM Power Series consolidation & optimization

4.       SAN attached storage migration & optimization - EMC Symmetrix & Clariion

5.       NAS attached storage migration & optimization – EMC Celerra

Required Skills & Competencies

1.       Excellent Verbal & Written Communication

2.       Overall understanding of SAN & NAS based storage principles, concepts & best practices

3.       Overall understanding of virtualization principles, concepts & best practices for Unix, Linux, & MS technologies

4.       Overall understanding of system & IT consolidation concepts & best practices.

5.       Overall understanding of system & IT optimization concepts & best practices.
